Our Approach

We believe in a more integrative approach to healthcare. The body is a unit, and all parts are interconnected which is why we developed our RMSM approach.
Unlike most clinics, our highly qualified therapists are all multi-skilled and work together as a team.

We focus on the cause rather than only treating symptoms. We specialise in results-based treatment programmes. These are tailor-made to both your medical condition and your personal lifestyle.

Pathway

Release

We target contracted muscle and fascia with remedial massage, myofascial techniques, acupressure, trigger point therapy, acupuncture, and other soft tissue techniques. This enables the relevant muscle and fascia groups to relax prior to freeing up movement.

Premature attempts to strengthen damaged muscles prior to releasing the cause of the tension and tightness can aggravate injuries. This it can delay or prevent recovery, and increase the likelihood of relapse.

Mobilise

Without maximum range of movement, attempts to strengthen affected muscles cause additional strain on already damaged tissues and fibres by overworking stiff joints.

Our osteopaths, myoskeletal specialists and remedial therapists use advanced mobilisation and manipulation techniques. These are combined with stretching exercises, to enhance joint flexibility in preparation for strengthening.

This significantly reduces the strain exerted by weakened muscles and encourages quicker recovery.

Strengthen

A strengthening programme can finally be implemented after muscle tension and joins have been mobilised.

Our team of physiotherapists and sports therapists create strengthening regimes and corrective exercise programmes as needed.

We find in many cases, were the cause of the injury or tension has already been properly addressed, that simply releasing the underlying problematic, hyper-tonic muscle groups will give a lasting solution.

Maintain

Maintaining muscle health is particularly important. Without i) behavioural change and ii) regular muscle maintenance, many soft tissue injuries simply repeat. Corrective brain-retraining takes time and practice.

Our remedial exercise programmes (including improving postural and kinetic behaviours) and regular soft tissue therapies deliver exceptional ongoing care to help minimise the risk of recurrence.

Likewise, they help prevent the development of chronic conditions and identify nascent issues before they become painful.
