Sport Therapy is a branch of Physiotherapy. Our Sports therapists are healthcare professionals that focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation. Our team provides personalized treatment to help you recover and prevent musculoskeletal injury from re-occurring. Not only are our Sports therapies trained in helping athletes, they also help people who are recovering work injuries and everyday aches and pains.
Why Sports Therapy might be the treatment for you:
What Sports Therapy can help with:
during your Sports Therapy consultation?
On your first session, your sports therapist will perform a full assessment, which includes testing pain/ discomfort levels, range of movement, muscle strength etc. They will discuss findings and treatment options. Remember, each session is tailored to your lifestyle, needs and goals. It is important that you are able to follow your rehabilitation program.
Preparing for your consultation
During your consultation, your therapist might ask you to preform some exercises to check your range or motion. Depending on the injury they will also conduct some tests to rule out or confirm a diagnosis. Due to the nature of the consultation, please bring comfortable clothing such as short or vest that can allow you to move freely.
